UPDATE: Regal Cinemas NOT pulling out of Oviedo Marketplace

The report run by a local news station stating that Regal Cinemas will not renew its lease at the Oviedo Marketplace is false.

Yesterday, we reported that local ABC affiliate WFTV aired a report that Regal Cinemas was pulling out of the Oviedo Marketplace.

Now, management from both Regal and the Oviedo Marketplace have spoken: Regal Cinemas has no plans to leave.

According to The Chronicle, who spoke with Oviedo Marketplace assistant manager Chris Molho:

On Monday, Channel 9 reported that the Marketplace's Regal movie theater had elected not to renew its contract with the mall, but did not cite sources. Molho denied that statement, as did a Regal spokesman.
