As I gather with family and friends to give thanks on this long weekend, I want to personally thank all of you for reading The Oviedo Citizen.

We've grown quite a bit over the last few months. When we launched in August of this year, we had two readers.

And one of them was me.

Earlier this month, Oviedo City Council voted to cut taxes along with its spending. The move was viewed as a big win for Oviedo taxpayers.

Apparently the Orlando Sentinel liked the move too. Here's a snippet from The Sentinel's "We Think" editorial that appeared on Monday morning:

If you subscribe to the Orlando Sentinel, you woke up this morning and read the headline "FAY WON'T GO AWAY." For most Oviedians, a more appropriate headline probably would have been "WE CANCELLED SCHOOL AND TRASH COLLECTION FOR THIS?"
